Ever have one of those days? Well, I’ve been having a LOT of them lately. Pretty much living on Feeling Sorry for Myself Lane. Seems ridiculous considering how many things I have to be thankful for. How do I get out of this funk???!!!

No, not the latest bumper sticker, but it should be.
I got honked at today. Apparently the dumbass thought that if he honked at me, I might pull over, leave my child in the car, forget about my husband, and run away with him. Obviously I’m kidding, but I just have never understood the honk! I guess some people might be flattered by it, but it just doesn’t do anything for me. Especially when you’re twice my age, GRANDPA!

I’m quietly rocking with Shaelin in her room. It’s dark except for the small lamp on her table. She’s all snuggled up to me. Over and over again, she points her wee little finger to my chest and whispers, “Mommy, Mommy, Mommy.”
It doesn’t get much cuter than that!

I hate it when I feel like this. My life is perfect compared to others I know who are dealing with things like cancer, death, infidelity, job loss, etc. But sometimes I can’t help looking up to the heavens and asking for a break!
A few examples: Yesterday two of Shaelin’s sippy cups spilled in my car. One had juice and one had milk. ICK! I had the hiccups THREE times. UGH! Today some face wash that I bought at Target spilled all over Shaelin’s new coat, which was in the same bag. EW!
In the grand scheme of things, these are NOT big deals. But when they all happen at once, they seem like it!
Is anyone with me on this?

Ever had an ear worm? It’s a song that you can’t get the hell out of your head. Well, I get them EVERY DAY. SEVERAL TIMES EACH DAY, as a matter of fact. I seriously think there’s something wrong with me.
Sometimes it’s a catchy little tune like “Hey There Delilah” by the Plain White Ts. Okay, I can deal with that.
But sometimes it’s a stupid song from the 80s, like “Ain’t Nothin’ Gonna Break My Stride” and that’s just plain ridiculous.
How did that get in there? And how the HELL do I get it out???!!!
